Homeless Decor

I am still deciding which University in Tennessee to transfer to in the August, so I am not quite sure where I will be living. I might spend a semester in a dorm, or get an apartment. I can't picture myself living in a dorm though, cafeteria food, shared bathrooms, a twin sized bed, a tiny shared space, and mini closet reminds me of summer camp, not a living space. Since I do have to switch up my living situation, I have turned to pinterest for creative ideas and ways to maximize closet space, and decorate. I would love to hear your ideas, and ways you make your space beautiful!

Happy Anniversary

  {26 years ago}
  {Still going strong}

Today is my parent's 26th wedding anniversary, and I am so thankful for their years of devotion and the teamwork they have input to raise my brothers and I. They go above and beyond expectations of parents, my dad takes me out to lunch or coffee (or both) weekly just to invest in me, talk about whatever I fancy and always makes time for me in his busy schedule. My mom has devoted her whole life to the family, she stopped working when my older brother was born to give us the best childhood we could imagine. I am blessed to grow up with two solid parents who are always seeking God in their decisions, who pray for me, and provide more than material goods. I love you mom & dad!

P.S. My grandma made my mom's wedding gown! A beaded lace mermaid gown, so beautiful!

Moving Away Y'all

It's official, in two months we're loading up the trucks and moving across the Country to Nashville Tennessee. I can't believe this is actually happening, I have always been a West Coast girl, but I could not be more excited to start a new adventure! So, if you were wondering why my blog was called West to East Chic (even though it should be South East), now you know why! I'm hoping Carrie Underwood and I will become good friends and she can teach me how to get legs like hers. I promise more details to come, I guarantee you this is going to be an exciting ride!

I took these pictures a few months ago at Ruffles & Rust, I deemed them appropriate for the news.

Maximize

{Maxi-dress forever21, Denim jacket Gap, Sunglasses Nordstrom}

Friday's post just wasn't gonna happen. I was playing mom for 13 hours, picking up sick kiddies from school, feeding them, taking temperatures, I even dealt with potty accidents from 4 year olds, big spills at dinner time, and dirty diapers after watching a total of 6 kids. All I have to say is God bless you busy mama's out there. Today was full of sunshine, shopping, family, and a trip to yogurtland. I gladly welcome this 70 degree weather! I picked up this sweet maxi-dress at forever 21, and it's actually a quality piece. It fits like a charm, has adjustable straps, and is the perfect length for my oh so average height of 5'6ish. I hope you are all having a lovely weekend, what are you wearing in the sun?

Granny Pants

As the smart person I can be, I chose to register for a 7:30 am class. I rolled out  of bed and put on what most people wear at 6am, a leather skirt, tights, a fitted shirt, and motorcycle boots -hah! I got myself to class with two minutes to spare, I enjoy being fashionably late, but my teacher does not. I may have looked too badass with my leather moto chic outfit, because I got a parking ticket. I went home and changed into granny pants because grandma's obviously don't get tickets. Now it's time to turn on some I love Lucy so I can fit in with my belly-button-high, NON-saggy-butt granny pants while I fight this inconvenient infraction. Wish me luck!

Diving In

{Little Taylor}

I am almost certain I was born with a bow on my head. I was the girl in kindergarten who wore a dress to school everyday(mainly sewn by my mother), a puffy slip for volume, leather shoes, and of course a bow in my hair. The moms of my fellow classmates didn't drop their kids off in the roundabout and drive away, they would park and walk their chid to class to catch a glimpse of what I was wearing. I had no choice but to love fashion for life.
Here I am in college, still obsessing over clothes and leather shoes. So welcome to my little blog of fashion, adventures, and lifestyle.
