Morning Face

I don't mean to brag, but this is my morning face complete with tired eyes, a raggedy sweatshirt and messy hair. I love when I can spend a morning alone when I'm not rushing to class or in a hurry to be somewhere other than my bed. My brain has been on overload all week, concern of not being able to see all my friends before I move, little worries about housing for school, stress with balancing my schedule, and annoyance of parting from some of my closet treasures. Gosh, those are such minuscule and petty problems, I look forward to spending my next 7 weeks in a joyful spirit and embracing every drop of rain Washington throws at me.
I am going to spend my weekend visiting friends, and attending the zella movement check it out! I will have actual pictures next week-I promise, and even some outfit posts, I hope you enjoy your weekend!

Orange You Glad

{Happy May Day!}

This weekend I found out I have been accepted to my #1 college, The University of Tennessee. I think I checked the mail twice a day for the  past two weeks, and refreshed my email every hour hoping to see an acceptance letter. Sunday I signed into my application portal and read that I had been accepted...and continued to read the notification 15 more times to make sure I was really admitted. Needless to say, orange and white have become very appealing in the past 48 hours, I have already gone online and bought my Vol's fan gear, and raided Nordstrom, thank goodness orange is this seasons color! Here are a few things inspiring me.

Homeless Decor

I am still deciding which University in Tennessee to transfer to in the August, so I am not quite sure where I will be living. I might spend a semester in a dorm, or get an apartment. I can't picture myself living in a dorm though, cafeteria food, shared bathrooms, a twin sized bed, a tiny shared space, and mini closet reminds me of summer camp, not a living space. Since I do have to switch up my living situation, I have turned to pinterest for creative ideas and ways to maximize closet space, and decorate. I would love to hear your ideas, and ways you make your space beautiful!

Happy Anniversary

  {26 years ago}
  {Still going strong}

Today is my parent's 26th wedding anniversary, and I am so thankful for their years of devotion and the teamwork they have input to raise my brothers and I. They go above and beyond expectations of parents, my dad takes me out to lunch or coffee (or both) weekly just to invest in me, talk about whatever I fancy and always makes time for me in his busy schedule. My mom has devoted her whole life to the family, she stopped working when my older brother was born to give us the best childhood we could imagine. I am blessed to grow up with two solid parents who are always seeking God in their decisions, who pray for me, and provide more than material goods. I love you mom & dad!

P.S. My grandma made my mom's wedding gown! A beaded lace mermaid gown, so beautiful!
